Multi Best in Show, Multi Best In Specialty Show, Reserve Best In Show American Champion, Canadian Grand Champion

Snowmist’s Desert Chill

Kim Leblanc of SnowMist Siberian Huskies is proud to have our favourite redhead “Chilly” on this week’s front cover.

Siberians will run away with your heart. They are engaging dogs with a good dose of independence. Their proportions should give you a sense of leg and air underneath versus the more common 50:50 ratio seen in many breeds. Long smooth effortless efficient strides are part of the design that makes them cut out for their job on a dog team.

From early on Chilly caught everyone’s eye. Even though I really wasn’t looking to keep another red girl, she made no bones about getting in your face to show you she was the ONE!
Right from the baby puppy class this girl stole hearts.

She completed her Canadian championship in short order.

In the winter of 2017 Chilly was off to the Novi, Michigan shows with handler Megan Terella, where she picked up 2 more majors to add to her collection.

Then it was time for a maternity break, again this girl did not disappoint, she is not just another pretty face.

By the fall of 2017 she was ready for the Siberian Husky Club of America National Specialty, where she was Winners Bitch under world renowned judge Bill Shelton. Not stopping there Chilly was awarded Best of Winners and Best Bred By Exhibitor by breeder judge Bart Miller of Blueridge Soma Siberian fame.

Not a girl to drop the ball Chilly, went on to win the 2017 Siberian Husky Club of Canada National Specialty.

2018 brought more adventures that were topped off with back to back BIS wins at the Sudbury KC shows owner handled, and then she went on to win the Limited Working Dog show at the prestigious Caledon Kennel Association shows under well respected judge Virginia Lyne.

Chilly was also awarded Best in Specialty at the Siberian Husky Club of Canada Regional Specialty over the Caledon weekend under respected judge John Rowton.

Long time Chilly fan, well known Siberian breeder and famous Siberian handler Colin Brownlee suggested we join forces in 2019 to present my girl to the fancy.

We would like to thank all of the judges who have awarded Chilly so highly whether Colin or I have the pleasure of following her around the ring.

It’s been quite the journey thus far, and we know there is plenty of adventures to come with this gorgeous red head.
