American Champion

Bluemount Sky’s The Limit De La Rive Gauche

Jay and Weiwei Shen of Bluemount Kennel are proud to present our newest star on this week’s front cover of ShowScene, AM CH Bluemount Sky’s The Limit De La Rive Gauche, informally known as Sky.

Sky was bred by Elizabeth and Jack Milam (De La Rive Gauche) and Perry Payson (Goldshield) in the US.

His sire is the remarkable producer AM CH Bandog’s Mojo De La Rive Gauche “Hollywood” who produced multiple Best In Show winners and two Number One French Bulldogs in the US (GCH Le Petit Prince de La Bete “Princton” and GCH Bandog Major League Homerun at TX Star “Mickey”).

Sky’s dam AM CH Goldshield Aurelie De La Rive Gauche is a beautiful typey bitch with gorgeous head, and is also a granddaughter of Hollywood.

Sky is born to be a star. At only 6 months old, he was awarded Best of Breed over specials at his first show weekend in Halifax and went on to a Group 2nd.

At 8 months old, Sky went to the 2018 American National Specialty with Jay and was awarded Best In Sweepstakes from the 6-9 months class in a large entry of around 100 French Bulldogs.

After the American national, Sky was left in the States with handlers Matt Hawley and Dennis O’Connor. He quickly finished his American Championship in style with three 5-point majors in two weekends.

In December 2018 at the Orlando Cluster week in Florida, Sky showed as a young special (at 9 months old) – winning Select Dog and Best of Opposite at the two pre-shows and Award of Excellence at the AKC National Championship Show in a stellar line-up of over 80 entries.

We would like to thank all of the judges for awarding Sky these wins, and we look forward to an exciting future with him.

Sky is going to NYC this week. He will be owner-handled by Jay Shen at the New York specialties, and presented by handler Perry Payson at  Westminster Kennel Club.
